When the pressure was on, Mississauga tow truck operator Steve Matchett rose to the occasion. It was Matchett, 56, who played a crucial role in rescuing Oakville's Edyta Tobiasz after a tractor-trailer exiting Hwy. 403 at Dundas St. in Mississauga rolled over onto her Mazda, trapping her inside for about two hours on Monday afternoon.

When Jack Lyons moved is fledgling auto repair business to its present location almost 50 years ago, the 860 feet of frontage north of the village of Erindale was on and a half miles from the nearest main highway. In front of the building was a little - travelled concession road, while all around were hay fields occupied by grazing cattle.

Now, Lyons Auto Body Ltd. is in the middle of Mississauga, Canada’s seventh largest city. More than 600,000 people reside within a leisurely 20-minute drive of Lyons’ Burnhamthorpe location, just east of Creditview.The business has grown from its humble beginnings behind the house where Jack lived to become North America’s largest auto body operation.

I was very impressed with the service that was done on my car. It was not a big job, but they went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied . Work was done in a timely manner, the price was more than fair. And they cleaned my car in and out at no additional cost. I was going to give them a tip which is unusual for me when dealing with car expenses and they refused it.

I brought my car in to do some extensive body work based on a referral that I got and to be honest I was very skeptical at first, (as I am with just about everything). I talked to a gentleman by the name of John who gave me a fair quote and a timeline in which the work would be completed. When I picked up my car today (which was the day that i was promised), I was amazed by the quality of work that was done and the great detail that was put into it. I had used Lyons years ago, and was very happy with the repair. When I got into another accident recently, naturally had my car towed to Lyons again. My insurance company actually gave me a hard time about Lyons repairing my car. I insisted on Lyons (I know I have that right and they obviously do it right .... they have been there since the beginning of time!) Lyons once again was amazing with everything.
